Kelsey's Writing Sample Sept. 24, 2012

Considering she wrote this all by herself at the kitchen table
and I wasn't even paying attention, she got pretty close!!
I translated at the bottom.
This is 3 clues to share with her class for her
"Hello Kitty Pillow" show and tell choice.
She's doing so well at reading and sounding out her words.
Kelsey has such a love of letters.
It's fun to see how excited she is by her own progress.
We are too!!!

Kelsey's First Day of Preschool 4

What a big girl. She saw this outfit in the store over the summer
and brought it over to me, insisting that it would be her
first day of school outfit! She has great taste!
I love how her backpack is almost as big as she is!
She really wanted a Tinkerbell backpack and
we looked together online to find this one... with 3D butterflies!
 What a cutie!

Getting her hair done in the morning. She insisted on these little pigtail buns!
Standing by "the growing tree" to see how much she's grown since last year.

Standing by her hook

Once she stepped in the classroom, she never looked back!
She was so excited to start again this year!

Mike and Kelsey's water balloon launcher

This thing is amazing!! It shoots water balloons about 200 feet!!

A Visit to Carlisle

We took a trip to Carlisle to see Nanny and Gramps before Elise was born.
Here's a few fun pictures I'm just now getting a chance to post.

The kids had a blast with the tractor and
STILL talk about it!

Civil War Day

We took the kids to the Manassas Farmer's Market last Saturday and it happened to also be a day with Civil War reenactments. I managed to remember to snap 2 pictures! Here they are!

Great Country Farms

My mom and I took the kids to Great Country Farms a few weekends ago.
They loved the animals and all the farmy activities.
The corn bin was a huge hit!

Climbing on the cars and other playground equipment
 Playing chess
Riding the tractor and climbing the tire mountain

Panning for jewels in the sluice

 Picking flowers
And lastly, watching a movie in the new van to cool off!

Oh, and Elise was there too!! Such a trooper!
